Getting Started

Run Effective Agile Teams

StatusApp is a feedback tool for all size of agile organizations. StatusApp supports management decisions, agility and facilitates more effective teamwork.

With SatusApp it only takes a few clicks a day to

  • increase your organisation's agile feedback culture
  • get daily feedback reports
  • improve employee engagement

and last but not least, save time for everybody.

Power up your team with 30 seconds of feedback a day

StatusApp is a very simple feedback tool based on 3 well-established questions that every decision maker has to know the answer at the end of each day:

  1. Do your team members know what needs to be done?
  2. Can they make progress, or is there something hindering them to do their job?
  3. How do they feel on the given day?

StatusApp has additional functions supporting the decision making and internal communication and can be used for giving daily feedback within project groups, teams, departments and of course the whole company.

In the digital age everybody wants to be seen and heard and a good leader knows it. StatusApp is the perfect easy-to-use application to get all the information you need to know about your team and company.

How can I send my daily status?

After login you’ll see the feedback screen with three questions.

To answer push any of the following three buttons:

You can add free text feedbacks as well, if anything needs clarification. You can also attach photos, hashtagged contents, links and even gif files.

Yeah and Panic Button

If there’s a big success you want to share or you’ve faced a serious problem you can report them immediately.

With the yeah button you can send a specific status email to your colleagues to share very important good news. It works like a broadcast message - everybody within the company receives it.

The panic button works like a direct channel to management. You should use it for emergency cases when something is blocking or interfering with your work. According to our experience it’s an absolutely useful tool to prevent afterhours and overwork and helps people to do the best they can.

Do you know what the Andon lamp is? It’s used at Lean factories to get an alert if something is blocking the work preventing accidents and damages. The Panic Button is an indicator that the individual (or even team) pushing it needs immediate help from higher management to prevent overwork, afterwork or doing something surplus or in a bad way.

Switching on these functions need a group email address adjusted by the StatusApp Admin.

How to see your colleagues’ statuses?

Click on List on the left menu bar to access all status summaries of the past. Select the date and voilá, you may like or comment all your colleagues statuses. On the Today’s list on the top right corner you can access the given day’s status summary.

And here you can see the department view with photos and text feedbacks. It is easy to see if someone had a productive day, a constructive idea, a problem to solve or simply was in a bad mood. Colleagues can react with likes and comments on each others daily statuses, and you’ll get notifications about their reactions.

You can use hashtags to emphasize your free text feedback or comments. You can find all the previous hashtags clicking on the Tags.

Labels, hashtags

Calendar, Holidays, Sick-leave

You may see here your own personal planned holidays, bank holidays, planned sick-leaves and extra working days (depending on country). The StatusApp Admin of the company fills this in.

In case you are on an unplanned sick leave or holiday, instead of sending your status you may choose the fitting option below the page during the day. This can be set by either the user or the StatusApp admin of the business unit.

Personal profile

At your Profile you can upload a profile picture, add your nickname or change your email address.  You can switch on and off the email alerts which can remind you to send your daily status.

What is the purpose of waiting for the Invitation Message?

In case your company already has a StatusApp registration, wait patiently or ask the administrator for an invitation.

The invitation will be an email sent to your work email address. Click on the link and that’s when the magic happens: you will be automatically added to your organisation at StatusApp and after that you’ll able to send your statuses immediately and you’ll see the statuses of your colleagues as well.

Good to know: the person who creates an organisation at StatusApp becomes the administrator of the new organisation. The administrator is the only person who can send the invitations adding the colleagues to the organisation.

In case you create an additional organisation for your company and start to invite your colleagues by chance, the two organisations cannot be connected. Don’t worry, just ask the administrator for an invitation and join the original one.

Administrator functions

Organisation settings

Here you can edit your localization data (Country, Language, Timezone) of your organisation.

You can adjust

  • whether you want to send a reminder email for colleagues to send their statuses
  • the team or group email address to send status summaries - practically in the morning, but you can specify the time
  • the leaders’ team group email address for receiving panic notifications and messages
  • group email address for receiving yeah messages

User management

Your colleagues can only join StatusApp with invitations created by You the Admin within the application.

After sending the invitation email, you’ll see a clock icon before the name of the already invited but not accepted invitees. After accepting the invitation your colleagues can login to StatusApp at go.statusapp.online , and then they can instantly send a status or personalize their user accounts.

When your colleague has accepted the invitation, you will see a tick instead of the clock icon (as it is currently beside your own name). If your colleague did not accept the invitation within one week of registration, they will become Inactive Users and you should resend an invitation to login.

Teams

You can define the teams and put them in order. This order will appear at the Status reports and daily summaries.

Team membership

At the Team Membership Editor you can sort the invited colleagues to teams for specific time intervals or indefinite duration.

At the status summaries and reports you can see the statuses of the specific team members in the same block so you’ll see easily if a problem concerns not just one member of the group.

Status Reports

Department heads, HR managers or even team leaders can view the status of the company in the reports section every morning, immediately knowing which colleague to nurture and which department to pay special attention to. Thus transforming your company setting into an agile point of view.

They can adjust the time interval, the organisational level (user, team, whole organisation) and they can filter the statuses according to the answers of the three main questions. In the reports it can be easily seen if a colleague is not so active on the platform. Most of the times it’s an important sign for the leaders to take action.

Data export

The Admin can export the statistics (specific days or intervals) of the statuses and hiatuses.

Workdays, Holidays, Sick-leave

The Admin of your organisation uploads personal holidays, sick leave and the planned Bank holidays for the year for the specific country, and planned extra working days for the weekends.

Daily Reminders

With the help of daily reminders the Admin may alert the colleagues per timed emails that they’ve forgotten to send their daily status. Switch this function on at the Organisational Settings.

Daily Summaries

Every morning the Admin may send the previous days status summary automatically to the business units central email address. Switch this function on at the Organisational Settings.
